Specialty Metal Chemicals

Backed by many years of experience in solid state chemistries, the development of new tin and other metal chemistries is still a key activity of ours here at Keeling & Walker.

Whether the goal is to find new products for solving technical requirements or to modify chemical and physical properties of existing products, these challenges have led to a range of unique products.

Fluorine Tin Oxide (FTO)

FTO is an off-white powder with good electrical conductivity. It easily forms opaque dispersions, which are used for conductive coatings on glass as semi-transparent heating areas or for electrodes in solar cells.

Precious Metal Doped Tin Oxides

Modern gas sensor materials rely on doped tin oxides as detector materials, which show excellent responses to several gases. Doped tin oxides with tailored precious metal loadings are available.

Keeling & Walker offers tailored tin oxides with specific particle size distributions for the deposition of sensor materials via inkjet printing or coating processes.

High Purity Indium Oxide

Despite the fact that Indium Oxide is a rare Oxide, it finds many uses in High Tech Industries. Indium Oxide is a key component of sputtering targets for thin film applications.  Its property as reflector for Near Infrared Light is exploited in optical coatings and specialty mirrors.  Furtheron Indium Oxide finds use in Electrical Contact Materials and Sensor Materials.

Keeling&Walker manufactures a high purity (> 99.99%) grade.  The Oxide consists of agglomerated nanoscale particles with an average primary particle size of 20 – 40 nm.

Indium Nitrate Solution

Keeling & Walker is producing a highly concentrated Indium Nitrate solution and is now offering this product also to the market.  Indium Nitrate solution is used for manufacturing catalysts, for creation of ITO layers by spray coating processes and as intermediate to manufacture further Indium chemicals.

The concentration of Indium in the clear and colourless solution is above 13% at a very low free acid content.

Calcium Copper Titanate (CCTO)

Calcium Copper Titanate is a very special ceramic powder designed for being used in electroceramics or LDS processes.  CCTO is a wide bandgap n-type of semiconductor, which is supposed to have unique electrical properties like a high dielectric constant and a high relative permittivity making it useful for capacitor compositions.
